Re: Anyone Stationed in Hawaii?

I was there for 4.5 Years at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, Hawaii. 6 months is awesome, anything more than that gets to be pretty painful. There is 704863147963197469214914 military dudes there on 20+ military bases and in general the locals hate you. Enjoy.

Oh yeah, save your money if you plan on ever seeing your family, flights are stupid expensive. Watch out for a half black kid people call "Smiley" that rides, tell him Adam says hey if you see him

Re: Anyone Stationed in Hawaii?

DO NOT SIGN FOR 6 YEARS!!! 2 extra years is a long damn time to be stuck if you hate it.

Was it hard for you to find a job in the field you wanted when you got out?

**** yes, it's still hard, I was an Artillery Scout Observer, and "Killing people" doesn't do a whole ton on a resume, even with my 3.5 years of teaching.

Re: Anyone Stationed in Hawaii?

Thanks Bro.. I was talkin to this dude last night that just finished with the navy.. he was tellin me that i should hold out for the job I want and See if i can get more money.. He also told me that there easier ways to get higher ranks out of tech school... Like tests and ****.. Is this true.. I would like to get the highest rank possible right off the bat.. He also told me that people in intel jobs almost always come out an E4 cause the tech school is so long? From peoples experience, is that true?
