88 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 94 LT1 V8(300+hp)
88 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 94 LT1 V8(300+hp)
I have a 88 S10 4x4 2 door with a LT1 from a 94 camaro with about 16K miles on it and a TH350. engine was rebuilt before it went in the truck. has full long tube headers, with dual exhaust including cats. truck has power windows and locks, 4 inch cowl hood, roll pan, and custom cloth interior(seats, headliner, visors, walls...everything except doors). has a bunch of new parts since i bought it. brake lines, 4x4 vaccume switch, TPS, vaccume lines....problaby a few other things i cna't remember. tires are BFG A/T's with about 40% tread, with 2 spares. rear end is from a typhoon with 3:73 gears...yes it matches the front. also have a set of traction bars for it.
here is the story of the truck that I got from the guy I bought it from. it was built by some performance shop in the chicago area....cant remember the name right now but soemthing like PEP, or PES or soemthing like that. that guy drove it for about 14K miles and sold it to the guy I bought it from. the only reason he bought it was for the currie 9" rear end so he could swap it with his typhoon. then it sat in storage for 2 years and had a few parts raped from it. so when I got it I had to tow it home as the rear end was barely in it. so I installed the rear end bought a driveshaft(used), put on a front bumper(still missing the right side marker light), redid a bunch of wiring under the dash(still hanging and under dash plastic not installed but i have it. replaced a few brake lines in te rear as well as shock mounts. replaced a broken O2 sensor, speedo gear(stopped working again though) and a few other things.
I drove the truck about 2000 miles and it is pretty quick. I got about 20-21 MPG with it. I bought another vehicle so I was planning on finishing up a few things like tucking the wiring and installing under dash peices, and putting seatbelts back in, installing the guages I bought for it and selling it, but now the tranny has lost 2nd gear....it shifts staight from 1st to 3rd and if you manualy put it in 2nd it slips. so it can be test driven or driven home....jsut has no 2nd gear. don't really wnat to take the time or spend the money to replace the trans so thought i would try to sell it this way first for less money. if it doesn't sell I will replace the trans throw on a paint job and sell for more at the swap meet in april.
PICS CAN BE SEEN HERE!! I can take pics of anything any one wants and I have some of the interior and engine already that aren't on that page!!
asking $2500/firm, or trade for ??? Dont need anything but like to leave that open....

Re: 88 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 94 LT1 V8(300+hp)
what kinda bike do you have. would you want to trade some parts for it??? would you want to sell just the motor out of the truck??? pm me or email me at rsuits@hotmail.com
Re: 88 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 94 LT1 V8(300+hp)
I would rather sell it as a whole. I don't have the time or place to be pulling engines anymore. you could pull the motor and sell the rest. even stick a junkyard 350 in there that you can pick up for 2-300 and sell it as a running driving V8 S10. or you could part it out...some of the parts have to be worth something...fiberglass hood, custom interior, roll pan, 3:73 differentials, xfer case, etc.
BTW I have a 95 CBR900RR, a 93 CBR600F2, and a 87 Suzuki cavalcade.

I say put a trans in it with a cheap shift kit, fix the wiring, paint it and make a killing off of it. If you were local I could probably sell that thing quick BUT you are not...
I will contact a bro who might be interested. What is your email addy?

Re: 88 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 94 LT1 V8(300+hp)
my email addy is donald.onley@motorola.com at work and donley@charter.net at home. I have already talked to my buddy at a trans shop and he said $450 to complete rebuild(with strong stuff done right) with shift kit and a converter. but i rather jsut sell it instead of put money and time into it....have other things more important I want to spend money on!!
Re: 88 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 94 LT1 V8(300+hp)
TTT...come on don't make me put money into it that I don't have.....want to sell this thing as my camaro needs a paint job and my bike needs fork seals. price might not be THAT firm anymore!!
