True that.. I got mine from a Rescue.. The Buster Foundation.. Its pathetic the rap these dogs get cuz mine wouldnt hurt a fly.. Shes a damn lap dog..

 

ya my pit is just a lil love monster. I also got her from the adopt a stray in st louis. Its just sad how many good pits get destroyed everyday....

actually white pits are normally the ones with the most genetic problems... deaf and blind.. make sure if you get one it isnt more than 70% white.

I wanted one that was mostly white and learned that myself. Almost everyone I found was deaf and you had to have some experience with Hand signals and stuff..

 

its all in how you raise them just like kids but with the pits people tend to stay pretty far away from your house so they dont even have to mean they just look the part naturally i have 2 of them and they have never hurt anything even the neighbors cat anyway like i said all in how they are raised

 

they love these slide my female will run around on this thing for hours even with the kids playing there she even waits her turn

 

love the pics! heres a pic when mine was like a month or two? how much does your female weigh? Im curious on where mines gonna end up shes 48lbs at 8 mos. ?

 

about 75 pounds shes a little taller than my male he weighs about 95 pounds and hes the dopiest dog youll ever see my wife says he reminds her of EOR from winnie the pooh and id have to agree

 

Looks a bit like one my buddy just adopted....

Heres mine.. Shes 8 months old.. Shes actually a Pit Bull Terrier Mixed with a Catahoula Leopard Dog.. Shes a blast... Not a mean bone in her body.. Shes all personality.... The Catahoula makes her a lil bit taller and not as wide, but she still has the head features and a bit of muscle definition..

The first one shes about 4 months.. the other 2 pics at about 7 months.. Named her Dolce...

...and yes.. I am in the middle of teaching her to smile on command.. takes alot of patience tho...

 

Pits are the nicest looking breed of all. If I wasn't allergic to dogs (and didn't have a chihuahua already) I would love to get a pit.

i had a mean pit i own the mother and she is so gentalshes about 12 yrs now she is white has had a few litters and most of the pups are white no problems with any of them but one i keept turned mean i was the only one who could handle him but if he had the chance he would have killed someone had to put him to sleep

 

on that website i posted it says some pits are just born really aggresive its not always how you raise them.. animals can be chemically unbalanced like most women haha j/j-- i dont think my female will get near 75lbs i thought 55-60 was the norm for a female and 75-85 was the norm for a male??

Actually that can happen with any dog.. My parents still have a beagle/bassett mix that I got when I was like 13.... That dog had a serious chemical imbalance.. Basically on 4th of July and whenever they have people over they have to give him tranquilizers to keep him from going crazy... It just pissed me off when people stero type pits with that.. I was working in Oshawa Ontario for the last 3 months.. I got to watch how they approved a ban on pits and were going to fine any one who owned one $5k per dog once the law got into effect if they did not turn the dogs in or move out of the province.. That pissed me off so bad... Its just a very narrow minded decision by people that know nothing about the breed or dogs in general.. Its a shame...
