Re: How To Circle Wheelie

alot of people say doin' circle wheelies aren't about linkin' circle after circle. it's more like linkin' 1/4 turns and the smoother you are with these turns, the more they look like full circles. alot of cats rock the idle high and when the front drops (or lowsides) they blip the throttle to keep it goin. at the same time, some cats rock constant throttle while keepin steady brake pressure and adjusting the height of the bike by brake control alone. the 2nd method tends to lead to smoother looking circles. woods, brown, and some other circle masters use this method. i personally think it's time in the saddle and learning your own way.

Re: How To Circle Wheelie

Ok im no pro. at this, but here is what i have figured out so far.. Turn the idle to 3500 and the tire to 15 psi,, slow the wheelie down till its just the idle carrying it. Straighten your left leg, give it a bit of gas to come past the balance and then start ridding brake, let the bike fall over, and when it starts to fall over let it fall a bit, then let go of the rear brake and the bike will start to swing around. Try to keep your weight centered on the bike, i found when i was leaning into the circle i was just fighting it, so keep your weight centered. Also when the bike starts to fall over, dont let off the brake right away, let if fall over a good amount first, if you start the circle and the bike is too high you circle will turn really slowly, super tight, and you wont be able to ride it out very long. Also once the circle is going i try to use no gas,, just tap the brake when the circle is getting too high, and you feel like its going to highside, and when the circle is getting too low then let off the brake completly or give it a hit of gas to keep it going. Basically i thought there were like 6 different things that you had to be doing to keep it going, but all you have to do is keep the angle of how far the bike is leaned over steady, if its too far down let off the brake and give it gas, and if its too high then tap the brake.. The circle does itsself if you keep that constant.

Re: How To Circle Wheelie

i've got my wheelies as slow as i can ppossibly get them, is it possible that im going too slow.rpm is about 2500 i think. also i cant get my foot in my 12 bar, so what i came up with is i mounted a peg on the left side of my 12 bar, should i try to keep learning on the rear peg or should i or start learning on the 12 bar?all help is greatly appreciated.ill post some pics of the peg in a day or so on my 12 bar, i think you all will like it, it saves your tail light for street riding.

Re: How To Circle Wheelie

dude, that peg is the narliest thing i've ever seen.
what kindof peg do you use for it? or is that a frame slider?
looks like you have the same 905 external bar situation that i do.

just a tip, unless your circling to the right (which most people start off doing) Dont use that peg mounted to the 12 bar. Once you start going left that thing is gonna hit for sure and mess you up BADLY. have fun

Re: How To Circle Wheelie

right now my circles are so slow and wide that it doesnt scrape, but im afraid it will when i get better at em.but as far as what it is, its just a freestyle bicycle peg.it makes things alot easier to learn. i finally got to ride today for the first time in a month.it felt great,im finally getting used to it.now my leg is not used to it anymore and it was shaking so bad after about 30 mins. i couldnt even hardly stand on it

Re: How To Circle Wheelie

Been working on circles for about two weeks now! Highsiding has not occured but came close a few times. That does not seem fun. Been reading many posts which helped a ton. Yesturday was a break through after being able to rock a few circles (steering mainly) to the left. Straightening the left leg and keeping on top of the bike really worked or atleast felt like it. Hopefully after many many big circles, it will be easier to tighten them up rather then attempting tight ones and just praying it doesnt highside. Anyhow, thanks for all the input fellas, this **** would take me twice as long to learn without this forum.
Zip-tie stock will be my next venture!!LOL. Damn this bike looks like ****!!
Keep that **** on one
