07 CBR600rr setup

Wanting to set my 600 up, but was wondering if anyone else has put a handbrake on a full fairing 07 600rr. I saw a pic of Colton's bike and I can't figure out what is different. I'm assuming he has different clipons, and obviously race plastic, but on my bike there is no room for the hb lever between the stock plastic and the stock clipon/clutch lever....any ideas or pics would be awesome.....

Thanks....

Either move your blinker/light assembly or buy aftermarket clipons

Re: 07 CBR600rr setup

Aftermarket clipons for sure. My setup is:

Woodcrafts flipped and turned out

SickInnovations.com cage and subcage and round bar.

FullThrottleInc.net dual 4 piston braket with a magura radial master and an MSR Raptor Pro clutch lever, soon to be replaced with the new hotness (billet ez pull clutch assy. by Righteous1)!!

900RR idle cable with the speed sensor disconnected.

GPR steering stabilizer and SS brakelines.

I'm gonna switch to an F4i throttle tube to see if it has a smaller radius for the cables.

No, I'm streetfighter, but it's obvious that a good ff setup would need aftermarket clipons. Also, you have to disco the speed sensor because the idle goes CRAZY if you don't after adding a cable. Also, the clutch interlock should be wired together. Helps for a consistent idle. Hope this helps ya bro. I've been through hell and back with this bike, so feel free to pm me with any questions at all. I'll help ya out.

My gearing is -1 +8 and it's plenty freeway friendly. I think the idle mod is def worth it. helps smooth the bike out with a lil idle turned up...

Glad I could help. I just pulled the connectors off the clutch switch and stuck em together and taped em up.

Yeah. Stock feels good on em,... just when you start messing with the idle the bike goes nuts!

I got mine off of a 98 900rr I think.
And if you're good with bike stuff it probably wouldn't be too hard.
Woo put mine on for me cause I had no idea what I was doing.
It takes a while, and I wouldn't have been able to do it, but other people might not have any trouble with it.

and I'm -1 +9 and I still ride street a lot. It's pretty buzzy on the freeway but I still get on the Istate from time to time.

361, check out that thread I posted the link to. Its for an F4i, but the principles will be the same. Idle screw goes into throttle bodies. Now, I'm about to do this soon also, and I'm taking TongWoo's experience as he is correct....He is saying that the clutch interlock should be wired together. This is the 2 wires that go into the back of your clutch lever. Now for the speedo disconnect, I'm assuming that is on top of the tranny and you will no longer have a speedo if you use your bike on the street....Tong....correct me if I'm wrong, but to do the speedo discon, you would just unhook the speedo sensor?

Yep. Black plug above the tranny in the middle. Go through the left side of the bike right above the front sprocket if you don't have the tank off. I believe it's a 3 pin plug. And yes, you'll lose the speedo.

btw, give me til 5 tonight and I'll post pics of the way I did my clutch switch. super easy.

Re: 07 CBR600rr setup

I don't want to lose mine either, maybe there is a way to put the speedo sensor on a switch so that when you are using the idle cable, you can "disconnect" or shut off the sensor......I really need a wiring diagram.......

If your geared your speedo is way off anyways.
I didn't really wanna lose mine either, cause you also lose your odometer readings.
But you get used to it, i just hang with traffic, theres really no need for a speedo IMO, just keep up with your oil changes.

I don't mind not having mine at all now.
