Re: SCS - Josh @ Star Custom Seats = Bad Business

seems like if you wanted the Ultimate seat w/warranty you should have bought it instead.

I also think that material does look thin and for 250 bones I would expect something better. 3 years on my stock seat and no rips yet.

So you both suck IMO.

No I'm not an upholstery guy,but my Uncle is, and he did have material that got to tight and wore out faster than normal from the way he stitched it,not sayin it's common, but it can happen. But the one thing he always did was fix any problem his customers had with no questions asked,to me and many others thats good business.Sometimes you have to take a lil hit on a job to keep your customers happy and keep a good name.

Yes this is the exact same situation, *** hat. I did not break my subframe installing my seat then call the owner using my stunt life tenure in an attempt to extort a new radiator like you did. Fyi your support bolted right on someones bike with no modifications.

If you had bet, you would have lost.

7.69 for materials, no seems to fail or tear. I should probably start a stunt seat business...whatcha t hink? However I wouldnt rape people charging 200+ for something your ******* sits on.

Thats a bit much. So lets say 50 bucks?

+1 I'd say $100 is the right price for stunt bike seats personally. $200+ should only be one a custom show bike or a harley or something IMO (hell most people here don't even pay $200 on a paintjob)

but at $250, you'd damn near expect them to be warrantied even if you took a knife to them!

Anyone wanting their seats covered, personally I'd recommend finding someone who does motorcycle seats for 100ish, or just take it to a local upholstery shop. Or attempt it yourself for like $5-$10 in fabric

edit: nice seats talen
I wrap my own seats also, but do them ghetto with FUR lol.. But about $4 in fur is enough to cover both my seats like 10 times lol, and takes me like 20 minutes to re-do it anytime

Gotta change up the seats every paintjob lol

word - initially i went and just got some regular vinyl and i think it was $6 for a yard. worst case you could buy fabric instead of vinyl and just ghetto that ****. BUT it will still look nice - I personally wouldnt spend $250 on seats and I spend a lot of money on **** for my bike lol. Im always buying whatever new **** comes out.
