Got Buell?

I Have totally (close to it) destroyed my buell in a 60mph wreck, wasnt evn stuntn. I have a pretty good connect in cosmetic parts 4 my jap bikes but no connections for the buell. if anyone knows of a place I can pick up used or reletively cheap new cosmetic parts please let me know. I have plenty of time if these parts take a while to locate, still have 3 pins in my foot and my arm is sewed 2 my stomach so the skin will grow back,FUN. p'reciate

Yeah life goes on though. It hurts pretty bad but not as much as my baby's hurtn. I loved that bike, was my shiny bike, no stuntn. The buell doesn't compare in performance to a jap bike but in character(I think)has gottem whooped. I got way more attention and comments on that 3yr old bike than I did on my showroom floor R1. Its exotic y'now thisl just give me the opp. to customize it during the rebuild

ur right mead, the bike comes with bocoos of problems.I bought it with3000mi i've put2000mi and the problems range from-not one but all the rockerbox gaskets leaking, to the speedo crapping out. Im ok with it because working in an auto shop I have access to any tools, and I also have mechanical knowledge. If u know of anyone interested in purchasing a buell let them know that u have talked 2 an owner and he said to be prepared to let it set up for repaires. I love the dependability of the metric bikes but for me, its worth it

Nah. I wrecked because of my stupidity. Dark, to fast, out of town and just didnt know the area. But the only oil leak ive exp. is the rocker box gaskets. I replaced them and hvnt had an oil problem since, dont know what caused them to leak though.
