Ex250

Hey all- another newbie here. I have a ninja 250 and as it's worse for wear, I'm hoping to use it to learn to stunt ride. Yes, yes...I know it can't do wheelies, but I'd really like to learn anything else until I can get a larger bike. (SV650S?) If anyone has any tips, I'd be glad to hear it! Thx.

Who told you you can't wheelie a ninja 250? You can wheelie that bike just like any other bike. That bike is still pretty light. It ways maybe 40 lb. more than a XR250 motorX bike and you can wheelie the **** outta those. I like the screen name. So how long have you been riding? where ya from? etc...

That's what I was going to say

The SV's are nice bikes, well balanced for new riders. Beat up the EX first, learn the ropes, or just drop it, then get the SV later this year/next year

Yeah,

It is easy to pop a EX250. I have it traveling 10mph and then clutch it in have the rpm at around 10 or less if you want to find you safe zone. My trouble is getting the wheelie to stay up.

Re: Ex250

Well, I tried the 10mph bit... no luck. What could I be doing wrong? Somehow it feels like there just isn't enough power. I had it in first gear and got a bit of a hop, lol...yeah, a hopping 250. Soooo fun! Also... any advice on how to get into a stoppie without going over? I really don't want to scratch my pretty face plate *jk*. And anyone have any advice on good throttle control brands? Thx!!

i got a 250 ninja too and i'm workin on the wheelies and stoppies
it can be done girl just keep on trying
try goin a bout 5-7 mph sit just like your riding normal don't lean forward cuz then it won't come up pull in the clutch and rev it up to about 9-10 rpms and let out the clutch FAST not slowly cuz then it won't come up and cover the rear brake...
i hope that helps cuz i'm still learning too just remember to wear at least a jacket and a helmet don't want ya gettin hurt

Re: Ex250

hey rocket girl...its good to know chicks dig doin stunts too..
one word of advice... u can pop a wheelie on anythng on 2 wheels.. just make sure the bike's weight is entirely on the rear wheel... try leaning backwards while u simultaneously snap the clutch... this has worked on my 180cc machine and could go on for quite long... good luck..

Re: Ex250
