you got a point with shoelace theory. im sure im not the only one thats stopped at a red light and had the loop of their shoelace caught in their shifter as your leaning to that side to put yur foot down and yur like OH SHIAT!

I just bought the new Dainese Akira's. They are very comfortable and supple but are reinforced at the ankles and toes. They're like Formula 1 shoes but stronger and made especially for bike riding.
