my hand brake keeps locking up rear wheel...
i got a full throtle hand brake adapter that replaces the resorvior with a line to the master cylinder up on the left bar.. well i bleed it all best i could and the back wheel keeps on locking up.. even when i let go of brakes it still drags really bad. is it because air in the system? how do yall bleed yours? is there a special way to bleed them? please help!!!

too much fluid in your reservoir could cause your brakes to lock up when the fluid heats up. is it over filled? besides that no idea coz i run a dual cal setup so cant help on bleeding an adapter.
Re: my hand brake keeps locking up rear wheel...
nah air wouldnt make it lock up, the opposite. Less power more spongy. If u overfill your res, and fluid heats up that will do it. If u fill ur res when u have your caliper off and pads together, then cap it, that will make it really drag. Just pop ur cap, use a paper towel to absorb some of the fluid in there, recap and give it a try. what master are u usin? what caliper?? Make sure the linkage on your footbrake is NOT BINDING in any way.

From the pedal to rear caliper is bone stock honda stuff. The adapter screws in where the reservoir used to go. The line from there goes to a dirtbike lookin master cylinder... But must be made for hand brake cus it got a lil clucth lever that attaches ontop the reservoir cap. Ill try less fluid.

ive ran into this before... usually its the banjo bolt bottoming out and once fluid pushes thru theres not much room for it to flow back..hence brake drag.
add another crush washer to the bottom of the line (closest to the master) if that works get a shorter banjo and ur good

if you have a gixxer radial master or a 1000rr or 636 master you might have to grind the pin down on the inside of the master because it doesnt allow the fluid to go back into the resivoir properly i had this specific issue of the brake locking up real bad
Re: my hand brake keeps locking up rear wheel...
you had the wrong lever , thats what i was alluding to. shaving the pin works

im telling gil you are telling people this lie
