Just out of curiosity anyone wipe out? I hate to watch new riders wheelie. That many riders, all day, I would have had an ulser by the end of the day. I just hate to see people crash, I hope it just went smoothly.
the point of the school is to give proper instruction to keep people from falling off...
the main reason beginners wipe out is lack of throttle control, this is what we teach. along with all the other proper techniques, like over coming the fear factor, balance sense in the brain, side to side balance, getting to know the bike, power bands, line of focus, ect.
the bikes are also set up to prevent students from going over backwards (witch is the number one way to crash learning wheelies)..this is only a safety feature, our priority is developing the control without the use of the bars.
the first three classes went great, every student was successful.

Glad to hear it went smooth. A guy Jeremy and I work with wanted to come ride with us and do some wheelies- well, he was doing great, he even had stand ups within a couple of tries. He wanted to do a tank wheelie- Jeremy said go for it but you probably won't be coming to work tomorrow.(Jeremy was right!) He went for it and did great untill he slipped off the tank and gave the bike full throttle. The next thing I saw was him sliding down the road like superman and the bike flipping through the air. He ended up with a little rash and the bike was repairable- so we can laugh about it now. With a little coaching and those long bars you guys have I bet he would have been just fine. I wish you guys the best of luck with your lessons. Later, Rudy(eastcoastxtremes)
