got this pic from a buddy of mine on a 06 gsxr1000, he said a lady ran him off the road, if thats true i dont understand how the frame could have snapped like that. what do you guys think? i've seen him ride some wheelies and ****, but even so, i cant see how the damage adds up, everything looks good but the frame.

 

I got 15$ on the slide.

 

tell him ill take the front end. master forks rim rotors calipers the whole thing.

 

he probably hit a ditch going fast enough to snap it

thats like the 20th gsxr 1000 ive seen snapped in half in the same spot....the welds are garbage absolutely no penetration.

They are fast sure... But they CANNOT HANDLE ABUSE!

i got $20 for the slide in the backround, and $19 for the motor out of the gixxer

 

These parts are from 3 different crashed 06-08 GSXR's

 

I had a similar collection from 3 different gixxers but just threw them away recent.

 

Threw them away, are you crazy Thats gas money right there, I can get about 70 cents a pound for that aluminum scrap at the scrappers....Its not copper or anything but still worth a drive to the scrap yard for some cash....

Suck a clean break. Everything else was MINT. Not a scratch anywhere on the front end.

Well, the necks I gave back to the owners, but I threw away the rest of the ****.

 

I want to hear from some stunters stunting these bikes, how the hell do they deal with the cold welds on them? If you look at all the welds, they are all cold! No penetration at all, they split right down any seam anywhere on those bikes

 

I've seen a few people on here strip them as soon as they get them and reweld the frames.

It's a shame they're such nice looking bikes. I'd think about owning one if I wasn't scared that it'd break in half

 

dam looks good, makes my laugh everytime i see a gsxr broke in half. i got me a nice colection of broke *** gsxr frames and busted engine cases, i am going to scrap it all for some $$$ but only when my truck bed is full in my s10, will get a nice junk of cash
