Does anyone know what the resistance should be on the TPS closed & full throttle? This is on a 03-04 636. I thinked mine moved cause it is running like a turd on top .

 

i know on cars at closed throttle it should be .0 volts to .4 and at open throttle it should be at 4.5 to 5.0 volts. hope that can help you out.

 

i need to order the manual but i dont want to if i dont have to.

 

Call a shop you are friendly with might get an answer... if they try to make you bring the bike in tell them they are swindling a$$holes, you just need one fact and you can do it yourself! LOL

yea, I'm down with a few shops around but a tornado hit the main shop last week and fuc ked it all up so they are closed

 

thier should be three wires on the tps one is gnd, power, and the signal to the ecu find the wire that is power and check it. have the key on the run position but the bike off. check power at closed throttle it should be at .0 to .4 and then check it at open throttle it should be at 4.5 to 8.0 volts. if its not in spec you need a new tps or their are times that you can adjust the tps. good luck

 

oh ya you might have to tap into the wires because you have to have the tps plugged in.
