Ian's cages are the best priced, the strongest, and he has the best customer service. I have ridden on 3 different brands now and these are hands down the best.
Re: Powers VS Freestyle
fi is a lot easier to install than the powers. if u have fairings... the powers requires u to cut more. the fi allows u to use the mounts for ur frame sliders and that's all the cutting that you have to do (very nice).
also if you are into cornering.. u can remove the lower part of the fi cage and leave the extended sliders in.. takes about 10 minutes MAX. I like the fi cage.. but im not a daily stunter. if i had a dedicated stunt bike that i could **** the hell out of .. powers would be the only way to go. i ahd one on my 00r6 and it held strong.
also has anyone else noticed the powers cage had to be drilled down and bent to fit properly. the fi cage just had to have the powder coating removed from the drill holes.
also with powers ur going to hit ur ***** a lot. fi cage i havent experienced that problem.

Re: Powers VS Freestyle
Powers all the way! I 've rocked the FI and the 905, Fi strips your engine bolts, 905 is a bitch to get off after a feww good hits. Ive beat the hell out of my powers and its still has a lot to offer.
Re: Powers VS Freestyle
i have buddies with both freestyle and powers....both are good cages, but the only problem i've seen with the powers is on my buddies 04 gixxer 6 is one of the bolts through the frame got stripped out when he dropped it jus right and tried to take the cage back off
Re: Powers VS Freestyle
That's not mine, silly. That's what I learned to wheelie on. I have a two stroke 250 which will wheelie so fast from a stop that it's too hectic. There are two choices really, loop it or a tank slapper when you come down from smashing the rear, during the incredibly brief interim the knobby tires ensure some back and forthy stuff.
I'm shopping now, I was travelling before, no point to buying something on the road and dragging it back before I can even play with it.
My loyalties, my reasons, when it comes to Freestyle Ingenuity.

SI people are cool! No one that I can think of locally uses one. I've seen the FI cages put up with a LOT of abuse, though, and Tim is a great guy.

Powers VS Freestyle
I dont know how FI makes thier stuff, but I do know that Powers are rock solid and built by hand specifically for each bike, Its not just a loop and a pair of struts, it has 3 points of mounting on both sides, and it looks like the steel used is thicker. He is also designing subframes for most bikes as well.
