Talking Speaking of embarrising yourself...

Funny little incident happened tonight. Luck struck this weekgirlfriends car broke down, timing belt snapped and my car had problems as well, the brake pad disenigrated, causing the caliper to warp the rotor as well as cause a leak in the caliper , so were down to just the bike for transportation for both of us.
Well, I went to pick my g/f up from work (she works at Waffle House) and the place was packed, people all watching me come in, so I put on a little show for them , came in on one wheel, landed turned around at the end of the parking lot. As I was coming to a parking space, i did a u-turn so I could back my bike into the space, but went way to fast, and leaned WAY to far over and the bike started to tip . I managed to get my foot down in time to save it :YEAH , with the bike a foot, maybe less, from hitting the ground. I had it there far a second, was about to go (hadn't slept in 2 days) and decided against it. I manged to pull the bike back up, and parked it. As I came inside, everyone, I mean EVERYONE, happened to watch the show, and a few people started clapping, while others just sat in there booth quitely chuckling to themselves. Thankfull, my g/f didn't see it, and I saved the bike from damage . Sure, my ego was busted, but it happens to the best of us.
Oh, and by the way, the parking lot IS slanted, so I have a little bit of an excuse. Just like you Murytle Beach guys.

That's what happens when you do things to show off.......least you came out ok, wouldn't want to scratch that minty SV. On a side note, that's generally why I don't do things around other people.......most times you'll mess up or wreck

Re: Speaking of embarrising yourself...

a lil while ago I was parked at an gasstation getting some gas. A guy on an older 900 comes up with a girl on the back. Just by the way he pulled up I could see that he was big headed. He stands there and is looking at me look at his bike, he gets off and forgets to put down the kickstand. All I see is his girl disapearing behind the pump, and a loud thump. I just laughed and asked the girl if she was fine, then went on with my business....

People like to see crashes, you may feel like a idiot, but people will remeber you better than the guy that did a boston strangler.

Re: Speaking of embarrising yourself...

Heh! Its happened to all of us dude! A couple of months ago I was out feeling really good on mu bike. this chick in an eclipse pulls up next to me... Damn her! Damn her for smiling at me like that. Of course I couldn't just ride off when the light turns green... Noooooooo.... had to do it on one. Nice one too if I do say so myself...

But the story doesn't end there... the next light we pull up together and she's still glancing and smiling even bigger. I made the "call me" gesture. You know... just messing with her. She mouths "OK!"

*thinking to self*

"Yeah! Ya like that shawty! Well check this out!!!"

We pull off... go a couple more lights. BINGO! Just what I was waiting for. A red light. I let her get ahead of me... then pull up to the window on a nice Endo.... All the way up to her window.... then >>BAM<< I loop it.

Bust my ***... and my bike... light turns green. She pulls off and this old lady with her grandson pull up beside me asking me if I'm ok. I say, "Yeah! Its these damn new brakes I just bought..."

She won't call.
