brake by wire... the end of stoppies?

Honda Develops New Antilock "Advanced Braking System" for Sport Motorbikes

Honda said last week it has developed what it called the world's first brake-by-wire "Combined ABS" for short wheelbase sport motorbikes, and said it is being installed on its Super Sport lineup.

The unit incorporates both a combined braking system or CBS, and a standard antilock controller or ABS in a single system that the company claimed provides better control without interfering with the rider's sporty feeling.

Honda said the system includes a new "stroke simulator" direct motor control of the ABS unit that produces "a more sensitive distribution of brake force" between the wheels.

The brake by wire device uses sensors to measure rider force on the brake levers and a computer to generate the optimal brake force on each wheel.

Same as something like a tip sensor... there will be a way around it.

wouldn't that reduce stopping power??

like think about it racers when they come into turns their rear wheel is barley on the pavement, it hovers or like skips, you wouldnt be able to brake as hard if its pulsating/grabbing letting go with abs
