just wanting to see how many of you are using TRE's on your bikes, and if it helps learning to stunt, the extra power would help right?

timing retard eliminator. on most modern bikes gears 1-4 has the timing retarded so you dont get full power, you dont get all those horsepower till 5th and 6th gear, a TRE makes it so you get full power in all gears

I made my own controlled by a toggle switch so I can turn it on or off. It dosen't really make that big of a difference. I stunt with a pc3usb though. I've installed one on mine and my buddies tls1k, it's not difficult so you should just do it and hook it up to a toggle switch so you can see the before and after for yourself.

hey justpassedu, where are the wire you tapped into for that? cause when i took all my plastic off, i found a toggle switch on my radiator, that goes into some wires that run up in front of the radiator, is that what that could be? or anyone know what else it could be?

Re: anyone have a TRE on there bikes?

On my gsxr 1k it was right under the gas tank on the left side. It has a it's a three pin connector with a pink wire, a black wire and I cant remember the other one. It's the only connector with a pink wire. On my buddies tls it was on the right side under the gas tank tucked behind the frame. You should be able to find it by tracing the wire from the tranny. I'll see if I can find the link that I used for help.

I knew I could find it. That's what I used to do mine, I just threw a toggle switch in there so I could get have it when I wanted it. It's a simple mod, I had my buddies tls done in 30 minutes. Just Pull the rear seat and gas tank and you really shouldn't have any trouble.

Re: anyone have a TRE on there bikes?

Not sure if it would help you out with stunting, but toggle it and see for yourself man..... not to hard to take the switch out and resplice the wires, if your not happy with it.......
