Re: Moto GP bike hp 200+++++++++ |
Re: Moto GP bike hp To much for my check book. Those motors are worth more than my house! |
Re: Moto GP bike hp was wonderin cause i saw a turbo for my 1krr that says it will make it put out 90-100 more hp. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp
was wonderin cause i saw a turbo for my 1krr that says it will make it put out 90-100 more hp.
im sure it will but it still wont be a GP bike:LOL |
Re: Moto GP bike hp
was wonderin cause i saw a turbo for my 1krr that says it will make it put out 90-100 more hp.
gp bikes dont have turbos.... those things are worth a million though!!! |
Re: Moto GP bike hp About 240hp. Thats what I always read in the mags. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp 990cc engine had 240-250hp.. new 800cc has like 230-240hp.. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp just picked up the new sport rider today it covers the last year of 990 cc moto gp shit suzukigsv-r990 with pneumatic valve train 75 degree v-4 16500 rpm redline makes over 240 hp valentino rossis final gen 990cc yamaha yzr-m1 claimed 250 hp inline four the crank case is made from solid billet aluminium. honda rc211v 75.5 degree v-5 max rpm 16500 260 horsepower not much in fo on kawi and ducati |
Re: Moto GP bike hp the kawisaki'z and ducatis, were the most powerful bikes on the grid. they just never had good rider's actually. no matter how much hp your street bike could get, it will never compare to a gp bike.... all the moving parts in it, are lighter than most of the parts you could buy, etc. etc. impressive stuff.... i caint wait to see the 800cc's do work:YEAH |
Re: Moto GP bike hp Factory R&D claim they can easily get 330+ hp out of the motors but there is no need for it since the tires can't handle it. Hayden's '06 (might have been 05) Repsol bike was 230 or 240 hp I can't remember which. Those bikes cost a team around 5 million for the the season and they have to return the bike at the end of the season. That was up until like 2005-06, I have no idea if they've changed the arrangement since then. -E |
Re: Moto GP bike hp You have the option of leasing or buying the technology and I don't know where you're making up that cost but the number is no where near that. Especially for leasing the technology which is what you're talking about when you say they have to return the bike at the end of the season. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120093181234 19.000$ and its yours!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish i could "waste" my money on that sweet ride :'( not a motogp bike but i think she could satisfy me easily :LOL |
Re: Moto GP bike hp i saw this moto gp bike for 80k |
Re: Moto GP bike hp i was just wonderin how the two would compare. i dont really have the 10k or so to drop on a turbo, and even if i did im sure that i would have to drop alot more just to make sure that the engine's parts didnt explode after a nice day of ridin some twisties. im sure that stock parts probably couldnt handle that much hp for to long with out having to be replaced. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp Anybody see Rapp win the Daytona 200 for Bike Week? Not saying he isn't a damn good rider, but almost the entire Honda team dropped out of the race b/c they mis-calculated fuel. They all went dry about a 1/2 of a lap before pitting I believe on lap 24. Duhamel was the favorite and he would have RAPED Rapp for sure if he wouldn't have run out of gas. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp Yeah I would venture to guess that the new 800's put out close to 220+Hp. I know a lot of people that say they've seen 300+Hp Gixxers out there that put out more Hp's but the problem remains on how to put that power to the ground. I am sure the tires can handle it. Heck last year the Yammies in MotoGP had terrible problems with early chassis' because the Michelin's had too much traction and they were having problems mid-corner with awful chatter. If you have never experienced chatter it is hard to explain. It's like a deep vibration that is hard to chase down because anyone of 100 things can be going wrong or it can be a simple click of the compression adjuster so you never know. |
Re: Moto GP bike hp And on the last comment about Honda misjudging the fuel for the 200 was a myth. It had nothing to with not having enough fuel it had to do with a venting problem that their dry-break system wasn't working correctly. No venting of fuel it will all of a sudden seem like ot has run out of fuel. Miguel almost had his bike restarted when his bike shut-down. I believe he pressed down on the dry-break to let air in but it was a temporary solution to a permanent problem. Story here. http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2007/Mar/070314c0.htm Pic of Honda crew draining the left over fuel out of Miguel's bike after they got it back into the paddock. Almost a 1 half gallon left. |
