f4i cam chain tensioner

hey i was just wondering what tensioner i should use for my f4i. it startin to tick from like 5-6k and i just wanna get rid of it cuz its really annoying. i hear a lot of good stuff about the APE manual tensioner, but how often do you have to adjust that. just when it starts to tick again or every so many miles or what. and i cant find anywhere to get them either. any replies will be appreciated. thanks

Re: f4i cam chain tensioner

As far as I know the ticking is caused by a spring that ejects from the cam chain tensioner. I've been told the APE manual CCT's only need to be adjusted every time your valves are, which would be around every 15,000 (from my mechanic who races).

My 954 sounds like there's a bunch of plastic balls in my exhaust when i rev it and from 3500-7000.
