is it possible to bring a wheelie up at 60mph?
 

What bikes can do it, if it is possible? Any 600's? Umm...and how do you do it? I wanna eventually learn to blast past ppl on the highway, on one wheel - particularily my cocky friends in their cars :D

get some gear on and COVER THAT BRAKE

get used to hitting the brake while in a wheelie

once you get the brake youll never be afraid again

all the poeple that i ride with never touch rear brake, only people that do slow stuff use rear brake, also any decent new 600cc bike should come up at 60, my friends f4i that was gear'd -1 +3 came up in 4th.. and stock gearing u should beable to clutch it up in 3rd pretty easy

Yeah learn the brake, keep it coverd and if things get hairy just a good tap will put both wheels back on the grnd.
My bud has a gixxr6, and he brings it up in fourth with alittile bounce&tug. We ride freeway wheelies all the time :apimp

I can bring my all stock 98 f3 up at 50... pretty sure i could get it up at 60...

if you are asking this maybe you should start out in first... and get used to that .... or just clutch up 2nd goin slower. stock gearing will come up in snd with the clutch and bounce. so either stop using first or clutch it up in 2nd but dont worry about the balance point till you can get it up and ride it out in second... do wheelies to impress yourself not your friends and for the want of your own adrenaline rush... i just think u get hurt trying to show off but htats my opinion.. later

well bringing it up is the first step you will hit 60 if you keep going. I would cover the rear brake no matter what and hit it at 35mph and down if you need to. If you are going 60+ i would not hit the rear brake just let off on the throttle slowly. If you hit the brake cause you are doing something wrong it will slam the bike into the ground with you on it. It will stretch the shit out of the frame and jack you forks the key it to let it down gently at high speed keep it straight and don't freak out when the front tire chirps because you will be going faster then the front tire is spinning. So it will chirp and smoke alittle it depends how fast it's spinning. Anyway i would practice the slow stuff first work your way up to the high speeds. You can get diced pretty good at higher speeds. I have dumped it at 80+ and lived to tell about it. Your 600 will do a 60 mph wheelie with no problems. But you need to take it slow and learn it first then move up the ladder. Once you get there 60mph will seem like nothing it will appear to be like 20mph to you. Oh one more thing i don't not suggest to wheelie when it's windy outside it's not a good idea the wind can't screw you all up.

I have an 03R6 and I can bounce it up with no clutch at 77mph in 3rd gear when it was stock geared....

i had a 02 f4i and i bounced it in 3rd. and always did it in 2nd at about 50 -60mph

When my '01 Gixxer 6 was stock, I could clutch it up in 3rd going about 60, 2nd gear is much easier, and I did it at about 45.

Yes some bikes can pull it up at 60 here are the ones I know for sure
Since I live at around 6000 ft, it's a safe bet that they will do it anywhere.
These are bikes I've seen in person do it at a speed of AT LEAST 60. I am no wheelie expert but I have tons of riding experiance and allthough I lack the skills (currently) to ride out a wheelie. I have done them before on my 954 (not counting anything under 1 foot off the ground) these are bikes that either buddies of mine ride or I have seen do it.
Yamaha R1 2000 and 2002<-- longest one I ever saw in person on C-470 started it at around 70

The end result is this. YES IT'S TRUE!!! However, there youngin, you are asking the wrong questions. 1st pick a bike to ask about, then ask why, then ask how difficult it is on that bike. Some bikes launch really easy but are hard to maintain a wheelie. Others have a hard time with launching at all and need assistance. Others require lots more imput from the rider (changing position, bouncing, ext.) Almost anything in the superbike or supersport catagories will do it.
