Need help wireing my second fan on!!!

I installed a second fan and damage control radiator cage on my 03 636 but after I was done I just wired the second fan right into my main fans wires "blue to blue black to black" when I tested it I ran my bike till it was up to 212 wich is when the fan usually kicks on it spun maybe 3 times and stopped and neither kicked on at all after that any ideas on how it needs to be wired any tips would be greatly appreciated..

did they blow the fuse?
