fuel pump/kill switch
 

I have an 03 600rr with 25000 miles. and i have been having fuel pump issues related to my kill switch......here is what happened:

I had a really bad crash mid-circle wheelie and the bike SLAMMED on the right side. It lights up and even turns over fine, however the fuel pump will not prime.

A mechanically inclined friend hooked up the pump straight to the battery and it was fine, so we began a several hours long wiring/relay/fuse search only to find the issue to be related to the two wires that operate the kill switch. We cut them out, trip them together, and voila!

We flipped the key on and off several times to ensure it worked; priming was intermittent at best and eventually non existent once again.

We then looked a few inches lower to the connector that houses the kill switch, and starter button wires. Jiggling them gave the same type of touch and go priming, however even when we pulled out the wires from the connector and touched them together, we still had nothing.

Anyone Know what can/should/needs to be done?

Why would the tripped wires stop working?

Which fuse is specifically for the pump? Which relay?

Would a new harness cure this? How tough would that be to rewire?
