Gas pours out around cap when doing stoppies F4i with kind of a o-town style dent but not as deep. When I do stoppies gas just floods out of my cap when i set it down. When I do wheelies nothing comes out. I assume its coming out of the vent hole in the top of the tank. Is there a way to fix this? Will pounding the front of the cap down help? Im tired of getting gas poured in my crotch. Oh yeah it has a vortex cap on it if that makes a difference. |
Re: Gas pours out around cap when doing stoppies the vortex fixed my stoppie gas leak. pull vortex base off and look at the mounting surface on the tank. make sure that it is even all the way around where the o ring on the vortex base makes contact, check the oring on the base too. |
Re: Gas pours out around cap when doing stoppies damn ...this vortex base dont have any rubber o-ring on it. The guy I bought it from must have never put one on. |
Re: Gas pours out around cap when doing stoppies Was about to tell you to get an O Ring but looks like you solved that already. |
Re: Gas pours out around cap when doing stoppies Yeah im going to see if i can find one now...or find a piece of rubber to cut out and put on there. |
Re: Gas pours out around cap when doing stoppies Home depot sells some little reddish orange sheets in the plumbing section that I cut for orings with my Vortex cap. |
