02 54 exhaust control valve
 
any one know if this is necessary to have the cables hooked up. ive been riding the bike for a month now without it and havent had any problems but im just wondering if there is any long term problems if i keep on riding it without this crap hooked up

Just eliminate the valve altogether

just dont hook the cables up and just ride?? or take all of the butterfly crap outta the inside of the part out?

its an 02 954 should i get one of those stuntex oil pick ups for it i used to have a 00 R6 and blew an engine last year the year before that i had a 97 900 rr and went thru 2 engines on that long highway wheelies?

OK thanks.. i have the bike all together right now and just bought a SI cage ill have to find some time to tear it all apart and do it but is it ok to run for a little while here and there?

Should be alright.

I'd definitley throw a pickup in there as well. People say you don't need them in Hondas, but they're cheap and easy to install. If they can help out your motor even a little. Then do it.
