feathering the throttle my name is jeremy and i have been riding for two years now. i just got the newest bike i have ever had a 97 f3. i have no problem getting the front end up at all . Its keeping it up i cant do. now i have been told to feather the clutch thats fine its just scetchy i automaticly let off the throttle its instinct what do the pros suggest tap the back brake or feather the gas ant help is appreciated |
oops i meant to say feather the gas oops |
Its all about getting that front end up. Get that nose way up there... and start learning how to use the rear brake, cause once you start learning 12's thats all you will be doing. Rear brake is burned in my head now. Just get the front end up to the point where you need to use the brake to stop you from going backwards. otherwise you'll let off the gas and then hit the gas again to make the nose come back up, and sooner or later you'll run out of RPM's. I always used to run out of those stupid things. I roll on a 6R so it should be similar and help. |
I hate to say it but just like everone's parents from the dawn of time always say.........practice,practice,practice. Thats the only thing that can get your brain used to the balance point feeling. I know 'cause I used to ride a '98 F3. It was easiest for me in 2nd gear standups, kinda fast. I know its not cool now but its where everyone started and you don't need to be as high to learn the technique. Just learn to do it slower before anyone sees you and starts bustin' on you! :jester |
