636 fork mod

4 Attachment(s)
Hey Chaps i thought ya would like to see this. As everyone knows the B1h front end is very weak and has been known to snap off plus they do fork seals all the bloody time!!!! The front brake is not great either. Bla Bla Bla
Any way me and tee-rex were looking at his R1 and noticed how simular the front ends are. Infact the only diffrence is the lower Dia where the lower yoke clamps on. So i bored out the stock 636 clamp hey presto the R1 front end just bolts in !!!! I now have a great front brake and strong as hell front end. Best is it gives great feed back during stoppies.
Any one wanna buy a B1h front end ????

Re: 636 fork mod

good man vandal... so we need a complete r1 front end.. forks, wheel, calipers, mudguard etc ? and just swop it straight over after taking 2mm out of the clamp ??

My standard front end is ok and the brake seems ok for stoppies. Dont get all this modifying lark, big disk this big disk that, you must have to be advanced for this setup:LOL :LOL :LOL

I like having a shitty setup. That way I have something to blame when I can't do tricks. :LOL

Dont get me wrong lee the r1 setup seems ok but you know what the joe public are like, they think if they had our bikes they could do the same as they are, now adding extra trick bits is making them think that more? Maybe im wrong il just keep quiet .
