An Apology.... is required. Was going to PM this person, but then thought, Adz, Toby and Tim wouldnt see it. MR GHOSTIE, you owe me an apology, for making me sound like i was mental. Making me even doubt myself, and making me even think i had invented a contraption in my own head. :LOL :LOL http://www.learntowheelie.net/Newquickattachgyromotorkit.html http://www.learntowheelie.net/ Read the paragraph on here that starts '''In 1981, honda hired domokos,'' http://motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/hofbiopage.asp?id=161 http://www.thewheelieking.com/index.html His site, i said the people who wheelie round tracks etc, and he wheelied round anaheim supercross track:apimp :apimp Search Doug Domokos on youtube, i saw a vid of him on a trike, was boring as hell though...:LOL :LOL :LOL YES IM NOT NUTS:YEAH |
Re: An Apology.... also another point to make. GHostie IS NUTS. HC rev limiter coasters!, Mad hc scrapes, pimp spreaders and merk step spreaders... PIMP! |
Re: An Apology.... lol, links dont work!...... ok it does well done clever clogs! :LOL |
Re: An Apology.... Im more pleased i didnt dream that device up :LOL Im sure odair had one, cos i remember you asking why it kept spinning, and crazy eyes said it had a motor, as ya could hear it buzz? Who knows, maybe Glyn or alstar remember? |
Re: An Apology.... The learntowheelie site and the gyro thing is Jerry Jones though not Domokos, but domokos rocks, I have a video of him wheelying around the MX track, that was awesome and thats partly what got me into wheelying my supermoto around. I'm a bit dissapointed to learn that jerry jones has this gyro thing on that supposedly makes wheelying easy, I don't understand how it works or if it really helps much, would be interesting to see if its true... |
Re: An Apology.... i never said the learn to wheelie was domokos!!!! Its something to do with the gyroscopic effect. The brazilians seperate the pads from the disc so it spins for longer. I tried it on my pit bike, but the way i looked at it was, if i was doing a show etc, would it look good getting off my bike to kick the calipers every time i wanna do a wheelie after a stoppie? |
Re: An Apology.... lol i'm sure that'd look great to the crowds ;) Personally I think it better to just learn to do em without any tricks or devices... :) Some good old fashioned skill and hard work, patience and effort :YEAH oh and some body armour :laughing |
Re: An Apology.... i moved my pads back and got going as fast as i could in first then yanked up a wheelie and then slowed it down to do some circles ,it was a very strange feeling when i turned the wheel but i don't think it makes it easier i think it is just for looks |
Re: An Apology.... i moved them back on my pit bike, then i had to brake hard, and the lever came to the bar, then the front brake grabbed hard. Then i never done it again LOL |
Re: An Apology.... So, in laymens terms, what does this do? Just spin your front wheel to create a gyroscopic force? :S |
Re: An Apology.... The gyroscopic effect helps keep the bike from falling over sideways. Sme way that when you ride fast in a straight line, the bike's harder to lay into a corner. |
Re: An Apology.... Jumping jake semtex used one for the longest wheelie attempt a few years ago. |
Re: An Apology.... I am as bored as i was listening to this saturday night allready |
