Re: ice studs 1 Attachment(s)
im going to put ice studs in my yamaha warrior tires. anyone els do this. if so any advice on screw size or if i need a liner
i just put about 500 in each rear and 275 in the front i used 1/2 and 3/4 cold cutters |
Re: ice studs thanx, are cold cutters the name brand of the ice studs? |
Re: ice studs
thanx, are cold cutters the name brand of the ice studs?
yeah .. u can pick em at most an ATV/Dirtbike shop or order them online |
Re: ice studs i just put 1000 3/4 inch pro gold ice screws in my stock rear warrior tires. |
Re: ice studs
i just put 1000 3/4 inch pro gold ice screws in my stock rear warrior tires.
dont forget the front ones, or you wont steer... remember, this isnt like your average car... you are true posi ALL the time on the quad... if your front dont have good traction, you are just gonna plow straight... no fuggin good mannn.... :cheers |
Re: ice studs i know but i got to pick up more studs |
Re: ice studs 1250 should be the total amount of screws for all 4 tires |
Re: ice studs If you arent racing, you should go with 5-stars in the back. Just make sure you have nerf bars because if you fall off and the quad runs you (or some else) over, its gonna hurt and you are going to get tore up pretty bad. |
Re: ice studs ^^^He's still alive? Derrek where you got ice at homes? I'll go out and ride with you if you hook me up with some ice bro, just finished a set of hole shots all around 1400 studs 1" Pro Gold, no liner they seal up fine without it I cranked that over to about 90mph and none of them came out |
Re: ice studs rome pond is where the ice is at. hopefully it will harden back up in the next couple of days. i was stunting on it last week, but then it got all rainy this weekend. my mom lives right on it so its no problem to ride whenever i want. whenever you want to ride let me know and it will take me two minuts to see if the ice is rideable. |
