Speede Safe R1fast(Glen Castle) call for more details 863-581-6386 The most Fun thing about the whole BiketoberFest Event I believe will be the Midnight Parade of Sportbikes down Main Street. Here is the Plan: We have to Close down the Stadium at Midnight (INS & $$$). Soooo Every sportbike in Daytona should know whats going on by then and can all meet at the Stadium. When we leave the Stadium we can all train/parade all the way to Main Street. Just imagine the look on all the Harley people's faces when Main Street is taken over by Sportbikes. This will definitely be a first. But it will show them that we (Sportbikers) are a closer knit group then they originally believe. Not only that but it will be frigging hillarious.... Speed Safe
This should help too.... Here is the map on how to get there: (look all the way to the LEFT) see the stadium just off of LPGA and just north of Speedway drive....that's it. |
I just want to emphasize this NEW part of Glen's message: ********************************************** The most Fun thing about the whole BiketoberFest Event I believe will be the Midnight Parade of Sportbikes down Main Street. Can't wait... See everyone there. |
the parade is a bad ass idea, but we need a meeting point somewhere along the way cuz there is no way we will all get through lights and stuff, were gonna have to regroup right near main street... -icehot113 |

And we need a spot reserved for all of us to park, someplace that will hold......um I don't know 300+ sportbikes.... Any ideas? Goose p.s. I'm in! Even if it is a confused mess! :twofinger :twofinger :twofinger :twofinger  |
Two more posts and I'm a "STUNTER"......(read post whore) and proud of it. Goose p.s. how many different stunt teams are staying at the "STUNTERS INN"? |
maybe I should go and revive a REALLY old thread, just to have others read it for no good reason............. :twofinger :twofinger |
I think that's a hell of a good idea. Need to be there with the video camera. As far as a place to park....there is so much damn construction and those time-shares right at the road...At that time, Wendy's should be full, too. Tell you what, I'll drive down there this afternoon and scope it out. See if I can get some ideas that would be good. |
Originally posted by brownclan There is that parking area on Main St just west of the bridge.
Post a map of where you're talking about. I have been to Bike Week the last 4 years and I know the roads pretty well, but I still don't know exactly where you are suggesting. Thanks, Goose |
Originally posted by brownclan There is that parking area on Main St just west of the bridge.
thats what i was thinking too, same place... thats prolly the best bet cuz last year at night it wasnt too busy right around there either... -icehot113 |
Okay guys (and girls) here is my suggestion. After everyone leaves the municipal stadium, meet at the Steak n Shake on the corner of 92 and Nova Rd. That way everyone that is not at the stadium at that time can meet up also. Have a depart time (maybe 12:30) and proceed E on 92. From there, turn L onto Beach St which will first take the parade past Daytona Harley-Davidson. Make a R onto Main St and there will be a split in the divider of the road where you can make a L into a parking area that will be large enough for everyone to get lined up. From there, go over the bridge and down Main St. Now as far as places to go from there, the choices are limited. We all know that 7-11 doesn't run anyone off, but is not large enough to handle 300+ bikes. The other suggestion is the Burger King N of Main St. I will post up some maps of these areas and tell me what ya'll think. |
1 Attachment(s) This shows us 92 and Nova Rd, which is 5-A. The Steak n' Shake is on the corner in the Daytona Mall |
1 Attachment(s) This shows 92 E then the L onto Beach St then the R onto Main St, which is 4040 |
1 Attachment(s) Here is an aerial view of the parking area. You'll see Beach St headed N from the bottom, then the R turn onto Main St. The parking lot the is kind-of a circle there by the water is the one I am talking about. |
hehe, thats pretty good way to show people, arial photos... lol... u should contact glen and let him know and see what he thinks, the parade is his idea afterall! -icehot113 |
