fast pocketbike A few days ago i went over to a friends house and showed me his pocketbike that he races. Its only a 39cc 2 stroke but the power is wicked. When i got on it i was amazed. When i was going 90km/h it could still do a wheelie. It goes up to 120km/h with that geering. He said it cost him 2 grand with all the upgrades and its italian. I dont know what its called but its fast. Does anybody know were i can buy one like this and what i should look for if its used. Also if anyone knows what company makes these that would be nice. |
Re: fast pocketbike Hello, I bleive your talking about a blata or polini. I'm not much up on my euro bikes, I'm a china fan! Your going to spend alot of money on a new polini or blata. How much are you willing to spend and I can give you your options. |
Re: fast pocketbike the reson the are so fast is because they are water cooled |
Re: fast pocketbike ya it was water cooled. Im willing to spen up to 2k on it as long as its fast. |
Re: fast pocketbike Water cooling really doesn't make that big of difference euro pistons are alot different design than a chinese bike also most euro bikes run higher compression from the factory. I'm at work right now so I will have to get the info for you in a few hours. |

Re: fast pocketbike http://www.blata.com/produkt.asp?id=14&country=109&lang=en ?? Was it a full fairing or half fairing? |
Re: fast pocketbike Sorry for the triple post.... Are you wanting a bike to ride or race. I wouldn't spend that much on a blata to ride around, I would get a Chinese bike and then throw all the ups on it. you would then spend somethign around 1g and have something as fast as a blata |
Re: fast pocketbike there was water cooled 39cc on ebay only for 399 shipped..i cant find them now doh..and trust me you dont want the 47cc..the brake in a day..my did |

I heard that chinese bikes require a lot of work and arent as fast so id probably get a euro one. |
Re: fast pocketbike I had 3 chinese bikes. Cheap pieces of shit. Got all the mods for one of them, and after $800 i had a pretty fast piece of shit. Sold it for $250. Im keeping an eye out for a used euro bike, its only a matter of time til someone who doesnt know what its worth shows up. |
Re: fast pocketbike The Chinese bikes aren't bad at all, I would go over to pocketbikeplanet.com and read up you will find many people have success. Also, here are a few places to order parts. Do you know any sites with the REALLY fast ones, that possibly go 60+? |
Re: fast pocketbike my x18 is the shit,i would get one if i was u,i had for like 3 months now and no problem i crashed it lot of time still runs awsome...they are really nice stunt bikes 2, am working on my no hand wheelies i thought it was not possible when i gat it..am probly geting another one this summer |
Re: fast pocketbike The x18 looks pretty good and it supposedly does 60mph. How much did you pay for yours? |
Re: fast pocketbike The X18 will also be bigger than the blata you rode. |
Re: fast pocketbike
The x18 looks pretty good and it supposedly does 60mph. How much did you pay for yours?
i paid 600 shipped for mine, and it really dose like 50mph not 60,when i get my new one ill put the 160cc big bore and 26mm carb on it,it will do 70-75 easy...this dude gat his going 93mph.. |
Re: fast pocketbike To me 93mph is to fast for something that small hehe, that would be one hell of a wreck. |
Re: fast pocketbike
To me 93mph is to fast for something that small hehe, that would be one hell of a wreck.
Ya for sure. Its scary at around 60. I cant imagine going 93 on something that small. You could take that on the highway and pass everyone HAHA. |

I'm at work right now so I will have to get the info for you in a few hours.
Water cooled helps get more h/p but not by much....It keeps the engine at optimal operating temp better than air cooled so the bike will stay in better 'tune'. Liquid cooled also eliminates alot of vibration over air cooled machines...Liquid cooled machines have longer run times than the same machine thats air cooled. Higher compression helps but those numbers dont matter as much in 2 strokes as they do in 4 strokes...The power is mostly determined by the porting. And I will tell you if that little motor is pushing that much H.P. it has a very short life if ridden hard.... |

Re: fast pocketbike I have a BMS thats wicked fast. 39cc water cooled, custom machined bits by the previous owner... pretty sweet little bike. it's a pretty big sport for our neighbors up north. I found mine used here: http://www.ommra.ca/forum/index.php |
