Re: drz400 upgrades
what is the 3x3 mod i see every one talking about it. i feel like a dummy but i dont know what it is.
Cut 3x3 hole in the top of the airbox. Search youtube for 3x3 mod. Like Nags said you can do a 3x3, jet kit, pipe, FCR carb, 440 big bore kit or go even bigger with a stroker crank. The only limit is your bank account. I focused on comfort/protection mods first. I got handguards, axle sliders, a bigger fuel tank, new bars, and new foot pegs. Next I'm going to buy some case cover savers because the factory magnesium ones like ot get punctured by the footpeg and shifter. Also went -2 in the front sprocket. I already picked up a Vortech airbox and K&N filter, so after the covers, I am going to get a jet kit and exhaust. |
Re: drz400 upgrades I got a fresh Athena 440 big bore, full Muzzy, and a jet kit and it definately woke the bike up. Once I get the FCR39 carb, it'll really rip |

Re: drz400 upgrades I'm wanting one too!!...A stock one is fun so I know a 440 would be sick. |

Throw a little money at it and you'll love it. Just don't go to Powers for a roundbar, they took 4 months and they said mine is the last one they'll ever make because they had too many problems with building it. |
Re: drz400 upgrades i put a -1 and im doing circles haha and it didnt kill the cruising speed |
