As you may well know, the motorsports community was shocked and saddened on January 24th by the tragic death of Jason Ciarletta (AMA # 412) at the San Diego Supercross. The loss of 19-year-old Jason Ciarletta marked the first fatality in the 31-year history of AMA Supercross.

Varga Hosts Benefit Event for the Jason Ciarletta Memorial Fund
Houston, TX, 9 AM EDT, February 08, 2004--- M&M Productions, a division of Varga Marketing, Inc. announced that it will host a benefit event for the Jason Ciarletta Memorial Fund. The death of this 19-year-old Supercross rider at the January 24th Supercross event in San Diego, CA, marked the first death in the 31 years of Supercross history.

The Jason Ciarletta Memorial Fund was established by the Women’s Auxiliary of Motocross and Supercross for distribution among benevolent organizations that support the sports of Motocross and Supercross. Through the cooperation of 12 O’Clock Ministries ([url]www.12oclockministries.com[/url]), McClellan Sports Management Group, MotoWorld Racing, the AMA, and countless extreme sporting athletes, Varga Marketing, Inc. has organized a day of celebration for the life of Jason Ciarletta.

The event will be held the evening before the Houston, TX Supercross at the 610 Arena ([url]www.610arena.com[/url]) in Houston, TX. It will feature live music from Christian punk band; Good Day Josif ([url]www.gooddayjosif.com[/url]), an autograph session and live extreme stunt entertainment with the Supercross athletes of MotoWorld Racing, stunt freestyle motocross riders, sport bikers, Merk and Digidy, freestyle BMX athletes and many more. The evening will end with an auction of extreme athlete memorabilia. Auction items include signed jerseys from Supercross giants, Ricky Carmichael and Tyler Evans, Freestyler, Kenny Bartrum and many more.

Other items also include, a wakeboard signed by several of the worlds top riders including Parks Bonifay, Shane Bonifay, Shawn Watson, Erik Ruck, Danny Harf, and Chad Sharp. Another item of interest is the tail section from a sport bike used in the filming of a soon to be released film, signed by Digidy, Merk, Kyle Woods, Ben Morgan, Patrick Stephens, Steve and Kat, Thew Blankstrom, and many more of today’s top stunt riders.
