Sof or hard?!?! whats better all round for wheelies and stopies ona MTB softail or hardtails? and why. |
Re: Sof or hard?!?! a hardtail, because of the feeling. Its more direct, you havent got a spring or something so you have direct feedback from the rear for wheelies.. and, a hardtail is generally a lot lighter in the rear, so its better to endo. however, when comming down hard, a spring might help to soak up the shock, but most of the time youre knees will do that for you.. so.. buy a hardtail! |
Re: Sof or hard?!?! Jasper, if thats u dude, u look startlingly like my friend James Sprentz. |

Re: Sof or hard?!?! I like both, they have their advantages and disadvantages. I liked the softail cause I could keep wheelies up by bouncing a little on the shock. They are heavier, but that's actually good for endo's, cause it has more momentum. I love my new hardtail though, just cause it is so much lighter (almost too light), so I guess it's a preference. |
Re: Sof or hard?!?! i like my softtail i got a cheap walmart mongoose mtb buit i can wheelie it for a mile |
Re: Sof or hard?!?! What if you already wheelie good on a motorcycle and want to wheelie a mtb, or vice versa, you want to practice your balance point on a mtb before doing it on a motorcycle. Which one best translates the actual motorcycle feel? |
Re: Sof or hard?!?! Hardtail for sure. Softtail is so much more unstable during highchairs and stuff like that. |

Re: Sof or hard?!?! Most of bicycle stunters is riding on hardtail. IMO hard is better to practice, its easier ;) |
