yeah I did the mod. but the cable I got was realy short. And had to stick it the only place I could get to it.. I would rather have it up high where i can turn it with my right hand.. thats why I was asking what year and bike that cable was from.. I think I got a 99 600 RR adjuster.

I used a trick that Ho Hey posted up awhile ago. You use a length of hose. I think I got fuel line. well anyways you put it around the end of the idle cable, tha black thing ya grab and actually spin, and you ziptie it on there. The hose I got was even a little small so I heated it up from about a foot away on the very end of it with my mini torch and slid it on there. once it hardened again and ziptied around it its not comeing off unless i razorblade it off. I drilled a hole in my fairing the exact size and ran it through. it pops out near my cage and could not work any better.

anyways, 99 F4 idle cable, long enough for me, I got mine routed right beside where the front of the tank bolts on.

600rr idle cable, I think all years are the same :apimp


There was a thread on idle cables I saw a long time ago, and people were recommending 900rr idle cables cause thye are longer then stock f4i cables

Then someone said a 600rr idle cable is even longer :YEAH


I can make it stick out on either side of the tank, or even come up by the bars but it kinda gets binded. Worked best with it coming out the side of the tank by the intake holes

edit: btw in this pic you can really see how far the 600rr idle cable sticks out

It started out as 'Dope Jam' but it was modified for my decals. So it's not identical to what you see but it's close.
