Bill Dixon came into the event as the top seeded rider with Nick Apex close behind in 2nd. It was very close and several riders could have walked away from this weekend leading the standings. Saturday was qualifying with over 30 riders fighting for the top 10 spots. Because Bill D. and Apex were top 3 in the points standings they were automatically qualified and opted to not ride in Saturdays qualifying. When the smoke and noise cleared 12 total riders were qualified and getting ready for Sundays main event.
