Newbie here ! with lowering Q.

Hello guys and gals, I'm new to the forum here but have read a lot of great stuff on here. So lemme get to the point I have an 05' ZX10R since new I have been tip toe on it and now I'm looking at lowering it. I just heard today that if I lower it an inch or so I will not be able to pull the wheelies that I can because the bike's center of gravity is lower. Is this true ? has anyone heard of this.
