Gixxer overheating problem

Alright fellas I need some major help. What else can I possibly do to my 02 gixxer 7 to stop the $hit from overheating on me while practicing slow shit. I already drilled out my thermostat and hooked my fan up to run all the time but the bike still runs between 240 and some points 250. Can it have something to do if I removed the ram airs? Anyways let me know.

Try adding something like 40 Below, or Water Wetter. Go to your local auto parts store and see what they got. These usually drop it 10-30 degrees.

CHeck it out. http://www.batterystuff.com/cooling/cooling_products.htm

its really easy and cheap to rig up a 2nd fan and worth it. any of you seen Brian stephens foot? his radiator got to hot and blew up and burn the living shit outta him. just put another fan and use water wetter and it will help :) as for me and glazing over you rear brake well i gotta work on that :P

Re: Gixxer overheating problem

ya, mine runs hot but not that hot. mine stays like 225 or so...if it gets up to 230 i usually go take some speed runs to cool it down. just watch the temp guage and take breaks to go run it faster and cool it down.

also, watch hooking up a second fan. When i'm doing slow stuff, just rocking stock fan on all the time, it kills my battery. our bikes don't start charging until about 3 grand and i'm rocking 2k idle with slow stuff....

Re: Gixxer overheating problem

Dunno but mine never goes over 220 and thats when the fan turns on then it drops to 200. Even constantly doing slow shit. I've been meaning to hook the fan up on switch. If you have your idle jacked up real high it will run hot.

yeah just use whatever bolts line up (use another stock fan) and zip tie or wire it up then either run it to a switch or tap into the other fan wires.
