Oil treatments
 

Does anyone use oil reatments in their bike like slick 50 or anything like that to help with oil starvation. I have added extra oil about 1/2 quart but my light is still coming on..

you could probably go up to a full quart over. i'm like 1/2 to a full quart over, not anything precise and i don't have problems, but it's also a honda. when is your light coming on? when you are at 12 or when you are doing just highway. gixxers have a bad problem with that.

don't put additives. that oil goes on your wet clutch, you put a friction inhibitor on it, you just ruined your clutch. you want friction on your clutch. that's why i don't even like using synthetics.

You are using the wrong synthetic if it has any kind of friction-reducing additive.

nah, cause i don't use any :twofinger

haha, i just don't trust them cause most of them have stuff that is suppose to bond to metal to help reduce friction and extend the life of your motor. screw that, 19k miles stunted on conventional oil. revlimter burnouts, 12 burnouts....no problems yet.

Are you making sure you warm your bike up and letting the oil thin and churn? My oil light always comes on before I warm my shit up if I try to do wheelies.
