Crash Cage crackin Stator Cover

I recently looped my 636. And I completely broke my freestyle ingenuity cage. The odd thing about it is that bike landed on the opposite side of the stator cover. It seems like when the cage got smashed, it also broke the stator cover. Is this normal?

Something similar happened to a friend of mine who dropped his 954.

Need some advice.... Shopping for a new cage.

haha i was JUST about to post a new thread about a cage.

i just got my Impaktech for my 05-06 this morning and put it on. Did a quick brap session and im impressed. Its beefier than a powers, clears as well as an FI, and looks (IMO) better than the rest of the market.

I didnt "test" it yet, but it cleared some pretty low drifts as well as my shins.

Ordering was simple and son had it boxed and shipped the next day.

The FI cage isnt good for hard hits, it almost always breaks the stator cover. People who are anal about keeping their cage tight usually have less problems with them, but theyre still not good cages if youre gonna drop your bike on a regular basis. Get something else would be my :2cents

This case cover is a little more pricey then stock but youll never have to worry about it.

Lastly there is a list of all the cages on the market with pictures and videos, showing the difference of each on here http://tankdent.com/

Yep, ive been rockin the Sick Innovations on my 04 636 and ive beat on it pretty hard. Pancaked it plenty of times and have had no damage so far (knock on wood). Like I said though, you need to keep your cage tight for it to be 100% effective. If your cage is all wobbly and not tightened down youre bound to break something.

i have ran an FI cage on all of my stunt bikes and loved them. you do need to keep them tight though. the only bike i ever had an issue with was the 03 04 636. the FI cage will flex into the stator if hit hard enough. the SI cage was rock solid on it!

You guys are awesome!!! Thanks for the advice....

Walked away with some minor road rash.... Arm pit (couldn't use deodarant), ass, and shoulder blade.

I am trying to re-build her right. I can't help but to stunt (isn't that what a bike is for), so I might as well make sure it's setup for it.

This way I'll hurt myself and the bike less.

It's 636 '06.

I already have an OMR Subcage

Got the new stator cover
Got the new swing arm.
Got the street fighter light.

The sprockets from http://www.moto-heaven.com

Need to Shorten the pipes. I have a tendency to smash in that dual exhaust two brother pipe. I am surprised by subframe isn't rubbin off.

Get a 12 bar. (Protect the new Pipe)

Get a new cage. I am thinking

I took off all my plastics.... But I still need to fix my gas tank cover and tail. I was thinking of just getting a whole new set of ABS plastics. And just wrap the whole bike when I feel making it pretty again.

What yall think?
