brembo fakes from thailand This might have came up before, Just curious as to anyone that has ever bought the 16x18 frembo brake from thailand, (ebay). It looks exactly the same in pics, does anyone rock this? and how does it work?......I just don't wanna buy it if the lever is plastic along with it's internals, but if it worx just as good, I could save about 150 bucks. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand all my friends that have had them had no luck with them, garbage. one couldnt keep pressure and another had it lock his caliper up when it got used a little and the fluid resivor wasnt overfilled. handbrakes pretty important so i wouldnt fuck around with them. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand Junk. I tried one worked like crap. Floppy lever long throw. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand wow glad u wrote that, i almost commited to buy! |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand i got one as a spare cause it was very cheap, figgured id give it a try 3 days after i installed it it blew the seal and spit fluid all over me and my bike, also hit the bar and ditched the bike, wasnt a fun experiance |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand Seriously, search "frembo", there are a few LONG threads on this. I think maybe 1 in 10 people have had good luck with them. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand woody whats up homie dont you know you can hit bobby up for the real one and get the 5 star discount (i think lol) just call him |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand sup ralph, yeah chris has the hook up also...bout 200 bucks....i don't think i can get it in time with bobby, but i wish i knew that, might have already had it by now..lol |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand yeah I live in Thailand and these calipers are locally manufactured here UNDER LICENSE from Brembo for "locals" who can't afford the real deal. But for 100 bucks here you can just as well get the real thing. Fakes 2 pistons cost around 25-40 bucks...cheap but the medical bills dont come as cheap. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand hot gahbage:2cents |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand Stay away. There's a reason why the Brembo's and Magura's are pricey. All comes done to quality control. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand What about them sick looking $129 wave rotors? Anybody???? Have been watching them for about 6 months now, but nervous about ordering from China, and then it turns out to be shit, or takes 6 wks to get to me, and then it's shit. |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand I've ordered 2 sets of those Knock off rotors for my 90 GSXR. First set was perfect, no issues. The 2nd set, warped to fuck the first time they heated up. NO QUALITY CONTROL =) |
Re: brembo fakes from thailand The word "FAKE" shoulda been your first clue that they are junk. |

Re: brembo fakes from thailand A bit cheaper but still awesome rotors are the Bremzen. We now carry them. Bremzen SBK (superbike) Rotors - $439.99 a Set http://moto-madness.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=551_482_698"]BREMZEN ROTORS - CLICK HERE Bremzen Superbike Rotors are not only lighter than original but they are also self cleaning and cooling as the rotors spin. These Rotors have more initial bite, leading and trailing edges due to the opposing slots on each side of the blade. This allows for a 20 percent increase in braking power. The floating rotor design allows for better contact with the brake pads.
