no chase law in MD?

so theres 5 of us riding and my boy clutches up a seat stander going over a hill. as we get over he puts it down because theres hp a couple lanes over. the cop pulls in front of him and put his cherrys on. he tried to stay in front but my boy got around him and took off. a squad car has nothing on an 08 xz-10. ten minutes later he pulls up behind us and we rode for a couple more hours. shit was straight gangster.:apimp

ive been riding with alot of 1000s and none of them seem much faster then my 636 with stock sprockets except that zx-10. a few buddies have r1s or gixxers and none of them seem to have much more.....especially at higher speeds.

Your an idiot. :2cents

I had A 06 gsxr1000 0-60 time:3.35 sec. and it was insanely fast...

I have also Had A 03 636, 03 R6 and A 05 Gsxr750 and now A 2008600rr and NONE of them are nearly as fast as the Gsxr1000 was.

The power behind my Gsxr vs any of the 600's I have owned is insane in comparison and I have no idea how you honestly think that your stock 636 feels as fast as A 1k... Your out of your mind dude..

ive had quite a few bikes last being a 05 1000rr.

3 of my friends all have 07-08 600rrs and stock for stock were side by side til a indicated 130 before i start pulling hard.:shruggs

You dont realize how much of a weapon the new 600s are power to weight ratios are very close to older 1ks.

But anyone whose on a 05+ 1000 is on a 9 second bike.

idk man. i live in md also and ive sure as hell been chased. one day me and 7 of my other buddies were out riding some back roads just cruisin w this car in front of us doin the speed limit (40mphish) so we decided to go around him. the lead guy in our group does a stand up by the car as well as the 2nd and 3rd guys. i was 4th in line and there were 4 guys behind me. well i didnt pull a wheelie i just decided to lay down some hp and get the speedo working and god damn if i wasnt 5 ft behind the car in the opposite lane (i was passing) and all i see is red and blue lights in the rear dash. it was an unmarked teal dodge stratus. no lie..as i went by him, i looked right at him and we made eye to eye contact lol. dropping a gear never felt so sweet :YEAH . to make a long story short..it was all in all about a 10 minute chase through suburban/back roads. two of the guys came back and got on US RT 13..which they had blocked off..and everybody else got away. one of the guys who got pulled said they had 14 cops responding to the initial request for backup. some troopers, some sheriffs, and a city cop. one of the most adrenaline packed 10 mins of my life haha

how old are the 1ks? i mean theres no way in hell a stock 600 would keep close to a new 1000, inless you have mad ups in the engin and theres are all stock or old its a litte odd...

I don't understand... so I out of 5 was in a ss, then runs while the other 4 just chill, cop doesn't chase the 1, but later follows you guys for a couple hours??? I think you're leaving something out... did you get pulled over and then ride after he didn't do anything?

what's the stock time for the 600's? 3.8 sec? that's not a big difference. he did mention at higher speeds is when it's more noticeable.

That's the "law" apparently, but i know for a fact not all cops stick to the rules. My boy got chased on our way home from OC a few mths ago with a chic on the back... he was on a stolen bike so ofcourse he ran, luckly he got away. But there were these 2 other guys that weren't so lucky, they got chased and both died instantly after an accident while being chased.... they were brothers. FTP!!! That's all i gotta say!
RIP Suky & Shamin
+1 anyone who thinks their 600 could be compared to a 1000 doesnt know how to ride!
I think this statement is backwards. It'd be ppl that can't ride 1000's that think they're comparible to 600's. Or ppl that ride with ppl that don't know how to ride their 1000's. Either way, any 600 will outrun a cop car too. you don't need a 1000 to do it.

I don't. and I don't think it's cool to say that you ride with people that steal bikes.

OMG are you kidding me?! LOL all stunters steal bikes (or atleast most), why pay full price for a bike you're gonna fuk-up anyways.... wasn't trying to be "cool" by pointing that out, just stating the facts here... lets stick to the subject, MD CHASE LAWS, and give yourself a pat on the back for not stealing, good for you :cheers
