f4i front end conversion 4 Attachment(s) hi guys, little bit of info, stock f4i forks are 30" long, most people stick 929 front ends on and they are 28" long so ur loseing 2" off your ride hight and another inch or so if you have the clipons on top. Try this... Yamaha r1 98-03 front end, goes straight in the 929 tripples and is 30" from top to bottom so even with the clipons on top you get to keep your stock ride hight :2cents :apimp |
Re: f4i front end conversion also they look aggressive in black :apimp |
Re: f4i front end conversion have u ridden with a 929 front end also, if so how do u like this compared to the 929 doing stoppies.. |
Re: f4i front end conversion r1 front = money i had both |
Re: f4i front end conversion looks great Ghostie? any comparance in performance with the 929 forks? |
Re: f4i front end conversion i like it better than the 929, the brakes are great and the forks are stiffer oh and im running a 600rr master with it and it works like a champ |
Re: f4i front end conversion those front ends prob arent in too much of a demand either hince it would be a little cheaper to get as well.. id like to ride a f4i with a r1 front end and see how i like it.. |
Re: f4i front end conversion 04-05 gsxr forks slide right into the 929 / 954 triple clamps too. i have a buddy that did that for his f4i. i'm not sure how high they make the bike sit though compared to the stock setting.. |
Re: f4i front end conversion 1000rr..... all ya do is drop the fork tubes 3/4" in the triples. Has nice radial mounted calipers too :apimp Shit is smooooooth. |
Re: f4i front end conversion And if ya get one of these... You can mount the clip ons up top and have even more room to lower the forks up to about 1 1/4". So you can increase ride height if so desired. Ho Hey Designs top triple.... :apimp |
Re: f4i front end conversion
You can mount the clip ons up top and have even more room to lower the forks up to about 1 1/4"
or run Dirt bars and lower the forks another 2 inches.... :shruggs actually you couldn't go that far but you get the point. this setup is amazingly tweakable.... you can get just about whatever rake/trail dimensions you could ever want. :2cents |
Re: f4i front end conversion that thing would survive a train wreck. |
Re: f4i front end conversion
hi guys, little bit of info....
not tryin to shit on your setup or anything... your info is help full and good (except I don't think 929 forks are 28", I think they're 29"). Just wanted to put a lil more info out there as to other good swap options. :cheers |
Re: f4i front end conversion and a couple more just for fun.... |

Re: f4i front end conversion all these front ends flying around and yet i cant find a damn top triple and axel for a 929 front end.. |
Re: f4i front end conversion i have a top tripple for a 929 .. pm me |
Re: f4i front end conversion so do you have to have 929 tripples and axle to run all these forks??? why not the F4i triples and axle, they not the right diameter? and also, will the axle from any these other bikes fit into the frame of the F4i right? |
