17" wheel upgrade for stunting

I just bought a 96 900rr. should I upgrade my front wheel to a 17" for stunting. yes or no and why.

Blutofu,

I posted that same question with no replies. So I asked a few of the guys I ride with and one said it can be done with a late model f3 wheel, I think 96 or 97 is 17in. the wheel has the same spoke pattern as the 900rr. My boy told me it would bolt right on, you may have to put you RR rotors on.
I guess it makes stoppies alot easier and more stable. I havent switched over, but I know you can also bolt on a 929 steering head/fork and front end assembly right on the 900rr, but the wheel is probably cheaper. hope that helps.

You're going to end up changing your steering geometry and will raise the fork tubes in the triple clamps to compensate for it. You'll need to raise them however much the overall diameter change is.
