Weird noise after installing big bore kit...?

Not too sure on the specifics, but my friend buy some real expensive bbk and tried installing it on his fiddy, it runs but just doesn't sound right. It's got a pipe on it, bars, springs, seat, and the bbk. Sound familiar to anyone who has put on a bbk lately. He said it was a 1200 bbk.

You're gonna have to be more specific if you want anyone to help.

may have to run high octane gas in it now depending if its a high compression piston.

Until he gets off work and back on aim so I can ask him what brand the bbk is and what kind of sound it is making this is about as specific as I can get.

you can spend $10,000 on a big bore. it dont much matter. the kit is only gonna be as good as the installation.

Mainly posted the price to see if anyone knew of a popular big bore kit around the price range, I know there are a few different ones right at that price but I'm guessing he got one from a big site or something. Odds are it's normal sounding for the kit, because it's got a pipe and the kit on it so it's not gonna be near as quiet as stock.
