Re: 1996 F3 When U Say Kit U Mean The Sf Headlight Right? |
Re: 1996 F3 Ground the pink wire |
Re: 1996 F3 Correct i mean headlight. Sorry before that post I was pissed off and stopped at the bar for a couple to many. Yes, after I put the headlight on I took it for a ride. First gear is 100% fine, 2nd, is good until about 40% throttle and then it bogs and 3rd it just bogs. So I hope I can fix this issue shortly because I want my bike back on the street! Thanks again in advance and for the help. |
Re: 1996 F3
Ground the pink wire
Why the pink wire? Sorry Im coming from a f4i that I put the headlight on and never had a problem. This is beyond me. I cant figure it out. |
Re: 1996 F3 That shouldnt do anything to the throttle... but i would check all your grounds and electrical to see if their loose... if not your carbs could be out of sink |
Re: 1996 F3 did you take off the black hoses that run on both sides of the frame? |
Re: 1996 F3
did you take off the black hoses that run on both sides of the frame?
Yes I did. there is no place for them to be. If I have to leave them on where am I going to run them? |
Re: 1996 F3 the two black hose force the extra fuel through the lines at high rpms. thats your problem right there. mine did the same thing. also make sure your light doesnt cover the intake, its right in the center under the triple. the big thing is finding a spot to run the black hoses to where they dont get in the way and get the right amount of air. you can take apart the t connecter and run a single line. you do not have to run them both.l you just need enough air flow to push that extra gas through |
Re: 1996 F3 its your intake......f3 was not designed to have that ram-air effect and when you take the stock front off it opens that up. more air + same fuel = bog. i still haven't fixed mine but i imagine a little plate an inch or 2 in front of the intake would solve the problem. |
Re: 1996 F3 Thanks for the advice guys. I'm about to walk out to the garage and try to fix this. Hope this works! It's really nice and I want to ride! |
Re: 1996 F3 Well, I put one of the hoses back on and I'm good through 3rd. Once I hit fourth with barley any gas she bogs. I'm getting there. Any more inout would be great! Thanks. |
Re: 1996 F3 Hey Thanks for all the help guys I got it to work! I have one more issue well dilemma. I Have all of those wires no I have no where to put them. What would be a good place to place all of those wores so they are not sitting behind my headlight? |
Re: 1996 F3 hhmm.. not sure, i think i ran mine down the side and attached them to my cage then hit them all with a can of black spray paint so they werent that noticeable |
Re: 1996 F3 Does anyone know if they will fit under the tank or is they're not enough room in there? |
Re: 1996 F3 i put mine behind the sf headlight. |
Re: 1996 F3 i zip tied mine to the frame looked crazy but she always ran good |
