I am so sick of hearing all these guys that go out and ride corners talking shit about stuntin and how it gives them a bad name.. How is doing wheelies so horrible yet going 100+ in the canyons is ok.. Its all illegal so who gives a fu(k. Way more people get killed and cause accidents out draggin knee than riding wheelies..

Re: Superbikes petition

the bottom line is that the shows host should not be riding wheelies and shit on the streets and it shouldnt focus on street stunting...

The format for the show should closely resemble what we read in superstreetbike and 2 wheel tuner

custom bikes, visits to custom shops, lifestyles of stunters, stunt shows, competitions, bike shows and bike nights

theres too many events and cool ass people in our little niche in the industry to have that show covering the BS it has been

Personally, my aim is not against stunters at all. It is simply that there is a time and place for everything, and even if we do screw off on the streets, I do not want what we do being force fed into every living room across the country so that suzy soccermom complains to her congressman and ends up leading a campaign to ban sportbikes. This happened once in the 90s already, all because a Senator saw a magazine cover exclaiming that the Kaw ZX11 would do 186mph.

I don't understand your reasoning for the petition.
If you don't like a show don't watch it
You've seen racers wheelie after winning races on t.v. right?
Why not petition to stop showing the gp races.:shruggs

Remember when John McCain tried to ban UFC? Yeah that worked:laughing
Think about it, there is no way thats happening.
More than ever there are movies and tv commercials with fast motorcycle chases and stunts and no one is freaking out.
street racing blew up after the F&F movies came out but no one banned import cars. Actually a skyline is coming to america and toyota is releasing another supra
even domestic companies like chevy have the import styled cobalt.
people are being force fed speed and danger all over the place
one show is not going to ruin it.

personally, mind your own business bro. enjoy your bike the way that you want to. this is a tv show that shows as much or more of the twisties as it does anything else. to go through the hoops of starting an online petition is stupid and you know it. we all know how you guys feel about stunting and dont care. do not try to make up every ones mind (which is the same thing that senator was trying to do)

twinisin 07-27-2006 10:23 PM

Re: Superbikes petition

good point Silver. Maybe SUPERBIKE needs to inform Suzy soccermom that our ZX11s and GSXRs won't do 186mph, if it makes her feel more at ease. That is why we use pizza sprockets, so we cannot go over 160 if we wanted to. I think 160 is reasonable don't you guys?:shruggs
