Buy a XR100R?? or not??

Okay, here is my question. My girlfriend wants to learn to ride, so I figure I will buy her a small dirtbike to mess around with and then possibly consider her riding on the street after she gets good. But I have a second motive.....and that is to practice/learn how to wheelie well. Instead of dumping my CBR, I can go nuts on a cheap dirtbike instead. The XR100 is perfect for her and although small, I can ride it also. Will the bike wheelie well? can I ride 12's on it? Someone said it won't run well when up in a wheelie......stall out??? Maybe due to location of gas line? I don't know, does anyone have any info? Thanks in advance.

Get a 50. They are cheaper.

those 50s are dangerous as hell. i am starting to learn how to ride now. i tried riding the fifty and creashed lol. didnt help me too much. then i did some two ups on the quads and the quad felt stable. one of my girl friends told me that she learned how to ride starting out on the quads, because they are so big it will be hard to fall over, and say you mess something up in switching gears. you will just stall out and have less of a chance of falling off. thats just my 2 cents coming from a someone learning how to ride.

I'll sell you a perfect 2000 xr100. Yes you can ride 12's as long as you want!

Here's my 1985 XR100... I think it's safe to say it'll wheelie.

However, I'd suggest the CRF150. It's a tad bigger with a little bit more power and has disc brakes up front.

I have a few XR100's and I think they are awesome to stunt on. I roll about 78' on the front, you can do over 100' coasters, circle wheelies, etc. Mine does not run out of fuel when up high, but it does spill some gas out of the overflow.
I will see if I can post a few pics playing.

thanks for the info guys.....looks like I will be buying a XR100 soon. Considering they are only two grand and have a high resale........and I can STUNT the hell out of it, I'm sold. Learning 12's is something I have been meaning to do for the last two years.....and a dirtbike is the way to go. Thanks again.
