Zannman - Welder, Plasma, and Bender

I've been looking at JD2 Model 3 from Mtech supply or Pro Tools model 105 bender. The later one, I like the heavy duty version because it has 5/8" plate arms instead of 1/2".

I am in favor of the second one and like this package.
* 1 - MB105HD Mechanical Bender
* 1 - Stop and Degree Ring Combo
* 1 - Bender Stand
* 1 - Extention Handle
* 1 - Hole Saw Notcher (Racer Version)
* 1 - 240 1-3/4" x 6" CLR Billet Die
* 1 - BendTech EZ 3D Software Package

For a plasma cutter you can not beat the Hypertherm 380 which is the same thing as the Miller 375. Hypertherm is the manufacturer for Miller plasma cutters. You can not beat either one for the $1k price range

My friend just bought one of these for 1030.00 shipped to his door from www.centralwelding.com

Re: Zannman - Welder, Plasma, and Bender

I already own a welder but thinking about upgrading from my 110v to 220v. The only reason for this is when I weld my new roll cage on the Jeep the 110 is not powerful enough to get into the much thicker material. If you are only going to be welding bikes, cages, etc then a 110 mig for steal or even better a tig for alum is fine. If you plan to weld much thincker stuff like a roll cages on a full size truck you might want to step up to a 220 unit. If you are intrested I might work someing out with you and sell my 110v welder to you and get a 220v one.

damn so much info thanks for all of it. very helpful i must say. that plasma cutter you were talking about there is nice sounds like your freind got a sick deal on that. i ordered my pipe bender today that shit you were talking abut was sick but uneeded for my uses at the current time. and the welding courses i am down for anytime just check with teach to see if any of the classes coincide with our rigourous training and competition shcedule if not im am 100% go. so sing me up ,also a very good friend of my family is a vp of a welding company (i forget the name at the moment )probably cuz i dont talk to him much, but he has told me that if i ver want to check out the place and get some welding aluminum tips and give it a shop to call him and stop by . so we have some possibilities here.
lata,
mike

What is the welder that you have now? I may be interested. How much would you be asking? I'm assuming it's mig and not flux-core?

I have one of the best 110v mig welders with a gas atachment. The argon gas atachment is the key for my hobart 135 gas welder. You can ask Shawn (teaches younger brother) because he just used it for body work. The unit is awsome but I need to bend and weld a thicker material for my Jeep so I feel comfortable with flogging the gas pedal without getting hurt (roll cage).

Speaking about cages, I saw some awesome competition on tv last night. Some insane rock crawlers. It was some kind of world championship I think they said. They were getting up the most vertical shit just gunnin' it. Now that's a sick sport. Wish they showed more of it on tv.

My welding class starts January 8th. Time to get certified baby! Class only cost me $250 too.

I gotta go pick up a plasma cutter. It's number 2 on my Christmas list to myself, right behind the Escalade truck jacked up on 22's with 37 inch tires, a jacuzzi in the bed, filled with hot chicks doing eachother....

ONLY ONE WEEK TILL I GET IT!!! :LOL
