Rear disc rim

What rims are people using to get a rear disc? The best rear brake i ever felt on a 50 was on a chinese pos with a disc. It was far more powerful than any ive ridden with the drum, including bikes loaded up with 50stunt brake parts.

Re: Rear disc rim

Most rear disc kits have thin rotors . I think the best one i seen is the bbr setup the rotor is like a real rotor , not like a mountain bike rotor . Its pretty expensive and its set up for the foot pedal application .

its the chingy pos rims that r easy to use in a disc conversion.they r cheap and so are the brake parts

Bet you could get a aftermarekt rear monkey hub and rim from G-Craft and make it work on a XR swingarm. These rims take NSR50 type rear rotors that are as thick as those on a full size bike.

here is my setup.

My monkeys got better brakes then most big bikes.

Honda monkey frame. Essentially the same as a Z50 frame.

That's cheap. What if you didn't want an extended swingarm though?

Re: Rear disc rim

that setup wont work on a crf50 different shock mount, and its a 15mm axle so even if u just wanted the wheel and caliper you would still have to bore out your tensioners and axle slider on your stock swinger...if u go on that site and just order a 12mm 10 inch rear disc rim for sdg xr crf 50 and also a rear brake assembly u would be all set.then ud need a brakeline and hand master cylinder

Re: Rear disc rim

i have a pitbike w rear disc and i got the rim from this site, theyre rims arent bad at all but that racing setup would be a waste of money! stuntin on a 17 inch swinger would blow baLLS
