Yeah i know i need a jacket.... Tight on cash right now, I have a leather jacket without pads and shit but its torn to hell :(

oh and gettin them up at about 55 then finally stop accelerating at about 73...

try bouncing rather than clutching it like that. you are leaning back a lot, which is good, but you aren't bringing the bike with you, and that's why it continues to climb (rpm wise) .... try getting it up a little higher ..... and get a jacket too

On the bouncing it thing.... its third gear... no way all 260 lbs of me is bouncing that bike up...

use your weight to your advantage ..... more weight = easier to bounce ... lean back when you bounce. stay off the front end.

that sounds like mad rpms for 3rd gear....unless that exhaust is just really loud. do you have your left foot on the rear peg? I learned w/ both feet on the front pegs then I started doing slow stuff but now I just kick it at freeway speed w/ my left foot back...no weight on your arms anymore and it clutches up WAY easier like that. You can just kinda unload your body off the bike when you clutch and it'll come up a gear higher at the same speed.

since I started clutching a while ago I quit full bouncing....seems to lack efficiency.

why should he bounce over clutch?? Clutching is so much better

The only people that I seen or heard of crashing, and the only time I have almost crashed doing a wheelie was when I powered it up. All cool on the steady slow rise, but when it hits the power band, watch out or you'll be sliding on your back.

Looks good, just try to bring it up to the Balance Point so your RPMs can stay steady, it'll also be easier on your back and arms if you bring it up higher.

The argument between clutch vs bounce is a good one. Now if I wanted to wheelie my crunchy non-running piece, well when it ran I not only had to clutch it in 3rd, but I'd have to coordinate a bounce with it too. Took a lil practice, but so does everything, once I got it, nail it every time. Oh yeah, go with a good jacket, worth it's weight in gold if you wreck, lots of skin you will have on your arms instead of the road.
